Life Is Reflected In The Choices We Make

The hard reality many of us are not willing to admit is, our choices and the decisions that we make do have a direct result on the life that we create for our selves. We can try to blame others for our misfortunes, we can play the victim, or we can rise and accept the fact that we are responsible for our actions and happiness, and learn to make good decisions.

What I’m referring to here, are the decisions we make for ourselves that we have control over, not about the circumstances in which we were born into or the actions brought upon us by others. No matter our circumstances, our life can be a reflection of how we’ve dealt with them.

How you treat others, what you consume, whether or not you choose to do the right thing or to commit a crime, whether or not to take that opportunity, or whether or not you choose to remain in a victim mentality mode or have the courage to accept that you can break free from the negativity that may or may not be self-imposed; these are the things you can control.

The choices you make reflect who you are as a human being. The world can see how your actions and choices have affected your course in life and others around you.

If you are rude and inconsiderate, you may lose friends or job opportunities. If you live a healthy lifestyle, you might avoid serious health issues. If you see the world as out to get you, your life will reflect itself as pessimistic and as a victim.

If you want to reflect a life that projects courage, confidence, wisdom, and change, then you must start making choices that lead your life there. So be aware and conscience the next time you need to make a choice and ask yourself, “Does this reflect the life and values I want others to see in me?”, “Does this choice create positive results?”. “Will this bring into my life what I envision?” If the answer is yes, then you will begin to make choices that reflect that you actually want to have in life.

If the answers are no, then start to make little changes that help to keep you from negativity, from stress, from bad decision making that keep you stuck or cause detrimental harm to you or others in your life.

When we look in the mirror, our lives will show the results of our actions or inactions, our true character will shine through in our actions and interactions with others, and our mindset will create a positive or negative reflection of our life.

It all boils down to your views on life, how you treat others, what you look for in life, what you visualize all play a part in creating your reflection. Call it Karma, the Secret, Reap What You Sow, or Do Unto Others; your life will result in a reflection based on your actions.

We all have choices to make that will either bring about good results, reflecting a positive life to the world, or we can make choices that lead to unwanted consequences. That is the real truth — every decision and every choice we make does have consequences for the better or for the worse.
